He spent his first 3 years in practice with Rees Page in Wolverhampton, then 8 years with Parkinson Wright in Worcester, almost 5 years with Harrison Clark in Worcester and was then with Young & Lee in Birmingham briefly before becoming the proud owner of Onions & Davies on 1st November 2010. Chris has always specialised in what is known as “private client work” - Wills, Powers of Attorney, Tax and Estate Planning, Trusts, Administration of Estates, Care Fees Funding and Advice to Care Home Managers and Owners, and enjoys working closely with a wide variety of individuals and their families. He is a member of STEP (The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners), Solicitors for the Elderly and the Law Society's Private Client Section and a frequent speaker for charities (Mencap, Worcestershire Association of Carers, etc.), community and professional groups. Chris is a regular networker, primarily through Severn Valley Business Group but also with other groups throughout Birmingham, the Black Country, Shropshire, Worcestershire and online and is always looking for opportunities to pass business throughout his extensive range of contacts. She trained and continued to work at a small firm in the South East, specialising in Family and Matrimonial work, before moving to Shropshire and taking a position at Onions & Davies in June this year. Her work includes divorce, property and finance in divorce (known as ancillary relief), children matters, disputes between unmarried couples, separation agreements, and pre-nuptial agreements. She can also assist in the making of marriage affidavits and change of name deeds. Louise is experienced in handling disputes arising in the civil courts, such as contract disputes, debt matters, landlord and tenant disputes, and boundary disputes. She also offers advice and assistance in the field of personal injury, whether a ‘slip or trip’ case, a road traffic accident or an accident at work. Louise is pleased to have joined Onions & Davies and is excited about continuing her career in this area of the country, not far from where she grew up. Louise enjoys working closely with individuals and businesses in the area of dispute resolution, in order to resolve problems and disputes as quickly and as effectively as possible. In the field of family and matrimonial work, she exercises a fair yet firm approach, striving for the best result for her clients and the children who may be involved. In her spare time, Louise enjoys spending time with her family and friends, as well as keeping fit and walking her dogs. She also enjoys contemporary music. ![]() Joanne Thomas - Chartered Legal Executive T: 01630 411222 E: joanne.thomas@onionsanddavies.co.uk Joanne specialises in Property Law and qualified as a Legal Executive in 2009. She trained at a firm in Shrewsbury where she worked for 7 years, dealing with a range of commercial and residential property matters. She completed the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law in Chester in June 2011, and aims to qualify as a solicitor in Spring 2012. She joined Onions and Davies in December 2011. She deals with all property matters including residential sales and purchases of freehold and leasehold properties, apartments, land and remortgages. Her work also includes transfers of equity, first registrations and commercial property transactions. Joanne is a founder member and the current chair of Shrewsbury Young Professionals Group, a networking group for professionals in and around the town, which has been running for over 5 years. The group holds monthly lunch meetings and quarterly social events, and has over 150 members. In her spare time Joanne enjoys watching films, and attending live music and comedy gigs. |
